February Focus Groups

Focus Group
In a discussion group setting, student focus group participants will be asked for their opinions on questions such as:
  1. In what ways have you participated in any ministry programs or services during your time at UVM?
  2. Have you participated in any community service-oriented activities while at UVM?  Which?  (e.g., participating in a COTS walk, serving dinners at the Salvation Army, volunteering with Special Olympics, etc.)
  3. What are some obstacles preventing you or your friends from engaging in spiritual and/or community service activities while at UVM?
Focus group participants will be asked to appear at the Allen House, 461 Main Street 15 minutes before the start of the session they select.  Refreshments (including pizza and drinks) will be available.  $20 will be paid to each participant at the close of each 1.5 hour session.

If you are interested in participating, please email us at indicating the focus group meeting day and time that best meets your schedule as first priority.
Please list a second or third date if more than one date agrees with your schedule. This will help us ensure that we have adequate numbers of participants in both focus groups. Note that Monday, February 15 (Presidents' Day) is a UVM holiday.
  • Monday, February 15 - 6 PM to 7:30 PM
  • Thursday, February 18 - 6:30 PM to 8 PM
  • Sunday, February 28 - 6 PM to 7:30 PM
A confirmation will be sent to you acknowledging your interest and meeting preference within 48 hours of hearing from you via email.  If you did not receive an
emailed invitation to participate in this focus group initiative, you can read the invitation below.
