Who can use Handshake?

All current UVM students and alumni.

Do I need to register for Handshake?

If you’re a current UVM student or part of the classes of ’16 or ’17, the Career Center has created your account and pre-filled your profile with a few particulars. You’ll definitely want to log in to update your profile and career interests so that Handshake can create a truly personalized experience for you.

Other alumni will need to register and get approved by the Career Center for access.

What if I need help with Handshake?
Can I still get my resume/cover letter reviewed online?

Yes, and we’d love to. Current students and alums should upload their resume to Handshake and then request an Online Document Review appointment. We will review the most recent document uploaded unless you specify otherwise, and you can expect feedback within 2 business days of requesting it.
