Samuel Fishman Memorial Fund
The Fishman Fund was established in Samuel Fishman's memory, and was established to provide necessary scholarship funds to UVM students involved in legislative, governmental, and community service internships. Samuel William Fishman was a member of the UVM class of 1934. He was a loyal and active alumnus as well as an outstanding citizen, serving as a Vermont attorney, jurist, and legislator over the course of his lifetime. He received UVM's Distinguished Service Award in 1969. He passed away in 1975.
The Samuel Fishman Memorial Fund supports internships in government and service. One or two awards of up to $2500 each will be awarded at the beginning of the summer.
