5.17.07 AUSTINS SUPPORT COLLEGE OF NURSING AND HEALTH SCIENCES
Longtime members of the UVM community, Janet Tudhope Austin graduated from the College of Nursing in 1955 and Edward "Ned" Austin graduated from the College of Technology in 1957. Both are acutely aware of the important role the College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) plays in Vermont's health care. In recognition of this, they made a generous gift to the Dean's Discretionary Fund in CNHS, which provides the dean the flexibility to support programs and initiatives as needs arise. Although no longer practicing nursing, Janet is committed to the profession through her work with hospices, the VNA, and as an advisory board member for CNHS.
