Gigs) to lab when you present.
- Check Syllabus
speaking schedule for when you are presenting and your lab
role.
LECTURE:
The single most important thing to do
in preparing to speak: Practice in front
of others and get feedback!
Tips from TAs:
- PAUSES for EFFECT should be
well placed. Not just at random spots!
- Restate
Must Knows must be
SPECIFIC, not categorical.
- The Conclusion
should be powerful and
separate from the Restate Must
Knows.
- End with "Thank You"
- Repeat
Questions at the end.
- Any
video you use should be less than 30
seconds (be sure to turn
up the volume
and make
full-screen ahead of
time).
- Get to lab early
and pre-load
your Slides
and any video.
- Your Reason
for choosing
the topic should
be separate from
your Credibility.
