Basic Site Organization:
This site is organized into a series of pages and forms designed to simplify either the submission of a sequence or a visit to the data base. You may move through the various pages and forms in the site by clicking on the labeled folder tabs in the banner.
The first line in a FASTA format sequence is the definition line; begins with a > sign, and is followed immediately by a name for the sequence, species of Paramecium, and a title. End the definition line with a line break (carriage return), the line itself must not have a line break within it.. Most sequence analysis tools require this format.
We will embed to the definition line the name and a mailto link to the author at the moment of posting.
Prepare your sequence data file using a word processor or some other text editor, and save it in ASCII text format (plain text). Copy the file to the clipboard and paste it to the sequence text area box in the form. (With the file in the clipboard, click the right button within the sequence text area box and wait for the menu to pop up. Then, click "Paste")
