2007 Undergraduate Awards

Each year the Department of Biology recognizes and awards undergraduates who have made outstanding contributions to research. Congratulations!

Brett D. Lamonda

Lyman S. Rowell Award in Biology: This award is presented to the student with the highest achievement in Biology, Brett has excelled as a double major in Biology and Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration

Susan B. Varga

Paul A. Moody Award in Biology: This award is presented to a student with the highest research achievement in Biology. Susan has an outstanding record in all disciplines of biology and is completing Honor's research.

Amanda B. Daly and Calsey M. Rowell

George Perkins Marsh Award in Ecology/Evolution: This award is presented to a student doing outstanding research in ecology and evolution. Amanda is a double major in Environmental Science and Spanish and is completing Honor's research in ecology. Calsey is conducting Honor's research in bat ecology using molecular techniques and will graduate with a Biology BS.

Daniel C. Oppenheimer

Bernd Heinrich Award in Physiology or Evolution: This award is presented to a student doing outstanding research in physiology or evolution Daniel completed a BS in Biology in less than 3 years while doing research in neurobiology. He will be attending medical school.
