Thomas Brennan has been an exhibiting photographer for the past 25 years. Professor Brennan’s work, primarily concerned with themes of mortality, has received grant support from the Vermont Arts Council and from the University of Vermont. Professor Brennan has exhibited nationally in group and solo exhibitions. Recent work continues to explore issues of mortality and change through photographs of insect specimens with emphases on metaphorical implication and affective response. Thomas Brennan has taught courses in photography and art education at the University of Vermont since 1989 with particular expertise in the area of color photography. Professor Brennan received his M.F.A. in Photography from the University of Arizona.
