In conjunction with Francis Colburn Gallery exhibit April 3rd - April 20th

William Wylie is the Director of the Studio Art Program at the University of Virginia. He is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Amon Carter Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. among many others. He has had exhibitions all over the world, at Jenkins Johnson Gallery in New York and most recently in Japan and Italy. He has won many prestigious awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship in and three Artist in Residence in Praiano, Italy through Yale University Art Museum and the Doran / LeWitt Fellowship. Wylie has four monographs in print, including one from Nazraeli Press as well as one from Center for American Places (University of Chicago Press) which shows his large format portraits and landscapes completed during the Guggenheim Fellowship in Carrara, Italy. A fifth monograph of Wylie’s work in Pompeii is being published by Yale University Press
