Admission to the Art Education Program
Undergraduate students may declare their intention to be an Art Education major on their application to the University.
Accepted students can check their advisor information online under the SIS program found on the registrarŐs homepage.
Undeclared students and students changing majors need to be enrolled in the College of Education and Social Services (CESS) to become an Art Education major. While students may declare their intention to be art education majors and apply for that major, students must be reviewed to pass into the professional Licensure aspect of the program, which begins in the fall of junior year. A program review process will be conducted during the second semester of their sophomore year (for students transferring into theprogram or into the university, the time frame for the review will be determined by the ArtEd Director).
