Slade Hall was the first new building constructed on land The University of Vermont acquired from the Buell family in 1921. The original design of Slade consisted of twenty-five single bedrooms located on all three stories of the building. Throughout the years, the basic layout of Slade Hall has remained unchanged.
Current project work scope includes perimeter foundation water proofing, brick pointing and sealing, repairs to the slate roof and chimney, and rehabilitation/replacement of existing windows and surrounds. Interior work scope will address deferred maintenance and code compliance of all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, renovation of all bathroom facilities, repair/replacement of ceiling, wall and floor surfaces, wood trim rehabilitation and new interior finishes.
