In
a ground-breaking new tradition, close to forty competitors took part in
the first-ever disc golf tournament on the campus of the University of
Vermont.
Starting outside Bailey-Howe Library
and winding around to the green outside Chittenden, Buckham, and Wills,
eight baskets provided a range of challenge, with a par-three standard.

When
the scorecards came back, Dave Hoffman led the pack with a two-under par
to capture the top spot (okay, so he tied with five others, but his name
was picked out of the hat) and take home the free Rossignol skis.
The other top scorers with a total of 22 were: Tom Billion, Curtis Hopkins, Greg Murphy, Robyn Smyth, and Ander Wilson.
Profits from the event fund Alternative Break community service programs, which engage UVM students in meaningful volunteer experiences. See more about Alternative Breaks at http://www.uvm.edu/~altbreak/.
