Que Hacemos: What do we do?

  1. Noche De Cultura: Culture Night

<=Noche De Cultura is an event that takes place during fall semester. Traditionally, we plan it for Latino Heritage Month. We have latino food, music, dances, and speakers from different places that discuss different topics. It's one of our major events for the year. We've had poets come, we've had dance performances, and we have lots of dancing after the event. It's a cultural night where differnt cultures have the chance of showing off what talents they have. Out goal for this event is to promote diversity on UVM campus. We try to entertain those that come with our specialties. There's always lots of food.

Comida Para La Gente: Food for the People

<=Comida Para la gente is an event that takes place during the spring semester. Traditionally, everyone makes a special dish that is important to their country of origin and brings it to the event to share with the community. It's an event that helps spread the knowledge of different food dishes and how many of them are significant to their country. It is a major event and we usually get a lot of people to cook and come and eat. We have music, of course and enjoy the end of the semester feast.
