Careers in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies

Critical Race and Ethnic Studies gives students a more representative picture of the society in which they will live and work. Knowledge and understanding of race and ethnicity issues provides excellent training for careers in business, law, education, journalism, media arts, social work and theology.

An undergraduate minor in Critical Race and Ethnic Studies may lead to continued work in ethnic studies, but is also excellent preparation for graduate work in History, Sociology, English, Anthropology, and American cultures. In addition, a Critical Race and Ethnic Studies minor may serve as preparation for professional study in Law or Theology.

Graduates of Critical Race and Ethnic Studies have found work in primary and secondary education, journalism, publishing and community service.

UVM Career Services is here to help in the quest for a career.
