Alexander Wezel, a prominent agroecologist working in France, is interested in the history and nature of the field of agroecology and posed the question "Is Agroecology a science, a movement or a practice?".  Professor Wezel presented at UVM to a mixed audience of students and faculty, discussing the differences in the application and understanding of agroecology in various countries and some research from projects at ISARALyon where he teaches.
