Assignments
&
Announcements:
- Practice
your Persuasive & Choice Presentations. Be sure the
persuasive presentation has a clear audience ACTION, and that your
objective is clearly stated "After my presentation you will be persuaded to (audience
action goes here)."
- Bring your
Flash Memory stick (2+
Gigs, with 500 MB free) and bring to lab if you are presenting.
- Check Syllabus
speaking schedule for when you are reading/presenting and your lab role.
- Your
completed Reflection
Folder
is due at the beginning of lab the week after your
present your Persuasive and Choice Presentations.
TIPS From the TAs:
- Review Attendance/Assignment Policy from Syllabus.
- Persuasive speeches must PERSUADE (audience action must be CLEAR).
- Source all images.
- It
is the presenter's responsibility to know how to use the computer in
the lab room (and pracitice ahead). The TAs are not responsible
to help you with the computer/doc camera, etc.
- At the end of the presentation you should have a STRONG CONCLUSION that is separate from the Restate Must Knows.
- Having a plane flight the week before (ex. Friday) Thanksgiving Break is not a legitimate excuse to miss lab!
