Attendance speech: State your name slowly, pause, share with the class any place on earth you would like to visit someday.

ANNOUNCEMENTS & REMINDERS:

Suggestions from grading presentations and reflection papers:

  1. All speakers should bring a VHS tape.  The TAs will also record all presentations on the digital camcorder.  We have had problems with students SD cards not working in the camcorder, so all speakers should bring a VHS tape.
  2. Make sure your OBJECTIVES (how your audience will be changed) is clear in your presentations.
  3. Macke sure you have a PREVIEW so the audience has a mental road-map of where you will be going with your presentation.
  4. Explain where you got your information.  To say "I got this from a website" is not enough.  Which Website?  Is it a primary source?  How credible is the source?
