When it seemed like I had exhausted all leads, friends, classified ads, etc., the used car manager of the Honda dealership I had been browsing, called. He asked if I would be interested in "looking" at a new '97 Civic hatchback, which is my car of choice. I told him I couldn't afford a new car, and he said that just that day the dealership was starting the closeout sale of the '97's in stock & he wanted me to have a chance to look at them (there were only 2) if I wanted to. I had also "coincidentally" received an offer from a credit card company offering me a loan at a pretty low A.P.R. So keeping my affirmation foremost in my mind, and trying to stay away from "I can't afford a new car", I went to "just look." The first one I saw was navy, and I felt ho-hum about it, then I saw the candy-apple red one, and fell in love!! MY car!!
The long and short of it was that with the money I originally had to buy a car, along with the loan which I hadn't expected, and the price reduction of the closeout sale, I was able to finance the balance for very little per month, which I could handle. I felt the affirmation came true to the letter-- The perfect car (a candy-apple red Civic hatchback), at the perfect price (due to circumstances out of my ability to foresee), at the perfect time (3 days before I left for my trip in my NEW, RED car!!)
Thank you Minta!
