Believing in the power of visualization, I placed a picture of a baby on my refigerator and the words "you have it" and I constantly told myself that the perfect child for us was already here and waiting for us.
During our first home study visit (just one month from the time we began the process of qualifying for an adoption), the woman from the agency said, "I know that you are interested in a newborn, but there is a 7 month old bi-racial boy that I thought you just might want to see." We told her we would visit him. I don't know how many people believe in "love at first sight," but this was. My husband said the minute that baby was in his arms it was as if they both knew it was meant to be.
Just four months later we took that baby home with us and he truly is the perfect child for us.
When you throw your needs
out to the universe, what comes back isn't always what you imagined but it
is always what you need.
