Directions for AdvoCat Application

1. Please fill out all portions of the application including the short essays!

All responses to short essay questions must be typed, and be no more than quarter of a page each, single-spaced. If you are not able to use the electronic text fields embedded in the application form, please submit your essay as a separate typed document.

2. Have a reference complete the AdvoCat Reference Form!

Please contact a supervisor or a faculty member who can speak to your ability to represent UVM and have them complete and submit the Reference Form. Reference forms can be emailed directly to advocats@uvm.edu.

Note: It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the reference form/letter of recommendation is submitted by Thursday, January 31. Without the recommendation letter, the application is incomplete and we will be unable to consider it.

3. Update your Resume!

A resume is required in order to be considered for the AdvoCat position. Please be sure to include clubs, organizations, sports, activities, research, internships, study abroad, etc. you are involved in.

4. Turn in all documents, and sign up for a Group/Individual Interview times, by Thursday, January 31 at 4pm.

The application, resume, and reference form are due by Thursday, January 31 by 4:00pm at the front desk of the Visitor Center. You must sign-up for your group and individual interview sessions at that time as well, so bring your planner!
