Writing in the Disciplines Program
WID Mini Institutes
WID’s Mini Institutes provide support for faculty interested in teaching and writing, focusing on a variety of topics. Participants in each Mini Institute learn practical teaching techniques and implement those techniques during working time. The groups meet three times during the semester at a mutually convenient time, with a possible follow-up the following semester, for breakfast or lunch. Apply for the Mini Institute and enjoy conversation about teaching with colleagues from across campus.
Spring WID Mini Institute on Grading and Responding
The Writing in the Disciplines’ Mini Institute on Grading and Responding aims to help faculty who want to find ways to more efficiently and usefully respond to students. This group will meet over breakfast or lunch (meals provided) three times during the fall semester with a follow up in spring. Participants will also each receive a copy of Barbara Walvoords Effective Grading. Join us for a practical and productive set of discussions!
