Work for Us: Web Team Internships

Students play a major role behind the scenes of UVM's website. Our student interns are responsible for developing the most popular web applications at UVM including the campus directory, catalog, mobile site, and more. Interns typically major in computer science, but anyone with web development experience is welcome to apply to join our team.

Grab the Opportunity

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding part-time job experience on campus? We are looking for a few good web programmers to take on a variety of projects for the university's website. Coding is done primarily in PHP. You'll get a chance to develop applications that benefit students like yourself improving the UVM web experience for all. In 2012, we're hot on mobile development, mapping, calendar applications, multimedia experiences, social media integration and content management. There are lots different projects to pique your interest and call your own.

Gain Great Experience

A web programmer working on a UVM mobile project last year (2011-2012) landed a job immediately after graduation at a mobile solutions firm in the Boston area as a direct result of his work on the team. A second web programmer had his job at IBM lined up before graduation. Previous student web programmers have found great jobs at companies such as Amazon.com, thoughtbot, City Market, and Vermont Information Processing.
