UVM Self-help Web Guide

Embedding Audio

Audio content can be embedded in your site in various ways. Here are several methods that we recommend for all web publishers.

Using UVM's Media Manager

You may use CTL's media manager to upload audio files. The media manager allows you to upload audio files via the web and provides HTML embed code which you can use to post the video to any web page on your web site. The media manager also has a provision for password protecting your audio files.

Using Flash

You may also embed audio files which you have uploaded directly to your web site using a Flash player. Note for page layout, the audio player has a height of 24 pixels.

 <script src="/www/js/audio-player.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
 <object width="240" height="24" id="audioplayer1" data="/www/js/audio-player.swf"
 type="application/x-shockwave-flash">
 	<param name="movie" value="/www/js/audio-player.swf">
 	<param name="FlashVars" value="playerID=audioplayer1&soundFile=myaudiofile.mp3">
 	<param name="quality" value="high">
 	<param name="menu"value="false">
 	<param name="wmode" value="transparent">
 </object>
