Members of UVM's Wellness Environment receive incentives in an environment suited for the development of healthy brains, so that healthy bodies may follow. Join a community of students committed to wellness to help you succeed in college!


WE want YOU to join us!

As of the 2017-2018 academic year, the Wellness Environment will be available to first, second, and third-year undergraduate students living on-campus at the University of Vermont.

Prospective first-time, first-year students

Are you interested in joining the Wellness Environment in Fall 2018? Follow these steps to express your interest in WE:

  1. Apply for admission to the University of Vermont.
  2. After notification of admission, activate your UVM NetID. (be sure to save your password)
  3. Login, using your UVM NetID and password to complete the programmed housing form and select your preference for WE

Current UVM students

Students interested in living in WE for the 2018-2019 school year, must fill out the Programmed Housing Portal when it becomes available. Priority will be given to current WE students.

Reminder: all new students joining WE are required to enroll in and complete the 3-credit course COMU 001: Healthy Brains, Healthy Bodies in the Fall 2018 semester.


Prospective Transfer Students

Transferring to UVM and eligible for on-campus housing for the 2018-2019 academic year? If you are interested in living in WE, please visit myResLife to complete a housing request form and the programmed housing form.

WE Requirements

New students who preference WE on the Programmed Housing Application will be notified in the spring of their placement in WE. All students must agree to the PDF icon WEcode.pdf.

  • Students are required to complete the course COMU 001: Healthy Brain, Healthy Bodies during their first semester of living in WE. All students who choose to live within WE will be automatically pre-registered for this course
  • Community members commit to the WE Promise, a residential environment that is free from the influence and presence of alcohol and/or drugs
