World Water Day Event for Students and Teachers

Calling All Teachers! 

On Friday March 21st, the Lake Champlain Basin Initiative will host a Water Celebration event at the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center.

 It will include watershed education workshops for teachers of grades 6-12, a guest speech by lake conservationist Lisa Borre, and the awards ceremony for the Water Day Contest (see "Celebrate Water Contest" news event for more information). 

***** Important Update- The watershed education workshops (from 1-4:30) will no longer be offered due to minimal registration.  The guest speech by Lisa Borre and Water Day Contest Award ceremony will continue as planned.***** 

The "Engaging Young Scientists" workshops will run from 1 pm- 4:30 pm and will provide helpful tips and learning tools for watershed education. One of workshop leaders will be our very own Erin De Vries! (Registration fee $10) The Water Day celebration will immediately follow (from 4:30 pm to 7 pm) and will include Lisa Borre's talk on "A Celebration of the Worlds Amazing Lakes" and the awards ceremony for the Water Day Contest.
