Growing Places Early Registration Deadline

Description: Growing Places is organized into six modules, each addressing a different aspect of business development. In addition to WAgN staff, each session pulls in experts in that particular area to lead the lecture, discussion, and hands-on exercises that make up the course format. Guest speakers and panelists are an important component, and by sharing their experiences with the group, offer a much appreciated realistic perspective.
Dates: Jan.-Feb. 2013.
The online session will be offered through the Blackboard distance learning platform as an asynchronous course. There will be opportunities to participate in live webinars as well. Early registration deadline: Dec. 14, 2012, Cost: $100. Registration deadline: December 28, 2012, Cost: $135

Bovine Milk Fats: A look at Organic Milk

Description: eOrgranic has invited Gillian Butler, Newcastle University (UK), to share her research results on fat composition of organic and conventional retail milk in England. In this webinar, she will share some of her results and how they may affect the organic dairy community. Generally organic milk has a ‘better’ fat profile but not in all cases, and there is scope for further improvement.
