Demographics
About the University

The University of Vermont, founded in 1791, is the fifth oldest university in New England. Located in Burlington, Vermont's largest city and the economic and cultural hub of the state, UVM enrolls approximately 9,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

About the Readers
Vermont Quarterly is mailed third class to more than 70,000 people four times a year. The readership is primarily UVM alumni (58,000), but also includes more than 10,000 UVM parents, 3,000 faculty/staff on campus, and friends of the university. Over a third of UVM's alumni live in Vermont, and 85% live within a day's drive of Burlington. UVM alumni frequently return to Burlington for summer vacations, winter skiing, and UVM events such as the annual Reunion Weekend in the spring, or each fall's Homecoming Weekend.
