Class of '90

Rob Cioffi, Matt Glass, and Ruth Henry have agreed to lead our reunion effort and have already started making plans for an exciting weekend for us. The reunion committee would love to have more volunteers to help make this reunion the best 10th reunion ever. Gregg Pokraka married Carolina Sanchez in Antigua, Guatemala on July 12, 1997. A reception was also held in Falmouth, Mass., on October 4, 1997, which was attended by Ronald Piscione and Suneet Shah ’91. Gregg is currently employed by State Street Corporation in Boston as a client service officer in international operations. Robyn Rehak McGuiness wrote, "My husband, Michael McGuinness (Fordham 1985), and I are overjoyed to announce the birth of our identical twin daughters, Madeleine Celeste and Maris Richelle, on November 7, 1998. They are our first children and the light of our lives!" Michael is a sales manager for Rittal Corp. in the New York City/New Jersey region. After 9 years of working in environmental and international fields, Robyn is a stay-at-home-mom, "the hardest job I’ve ever had." The family lives in Robyn’s hometown, West Milford, NJ. Paul Bowe recently accepted the position of application support specialist at MFS Investment Management in Boston. In January, he visited San Diego with Jeff Varderer and his brother, Chris. Jeff has been working as engineer for Analog Devices in Wilmington, Mass., since graduation. Tim Young ’91 has been working as a credit manager for Sears for several years. Tim and his wife, Gelsy, have recently moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where Tim accepted a transfer. Carey Clarke-Aron and husband John ’86 are the proud parents of Clarke Robert Aron, born January 7, 1999. Bradley Lichtenstein just finished his first film, "André’s Lives", currently screening at film festivals around the country. He married his wife, Anne, on September 26, 1998. Bo Aylin played guitar, and Seth Johnson and Brandi Ginsberg had a great time. Robert Przygrodski, a PhD candidate in Russian history at NIU, was recently awarded a Fulbright grant to conduct research in Poland. Steven Schneider is a first-year medical student at University of Cincinnati. He has a twenty-month-old son, Evan, and a baby due in August 1999. Kristen Murphy reported that she and her husband spent a week in the Grand Canyon relaxing and reminiscing with Kristen Olson Myers. Victor Caamano recently moved to northern New York, where he will be working with the new Clarkson University physical therapy program. His wife, Linda, was expecting their second child in June 1999. Christine Goodman reported that Penelope Wu ’92 recently became engaged to Kyle Lester. In September, J. Lauri Scharf and Liz Bohn Scharf ’91, who live in Cambridge, Mass., traveled to Vietnam for three weeks with Michael Gray and Deirdre Buckley. They report that Vietnam is a great vacation spot, "but very hot." Connie Philippon Potvin gave birth to a baby boy, Nathan Michael, on February 23, 1998. Shari Levenbaum Spillane gave birth to a baby girl, Samantha Jordan, on July 19, 1998. She and her husband recently purchased a new home. Jessica Levine Zych also welcomed a new son, Andrew James, on January 19, 1999, and also recently purchased a new home. Wendy Pouliot received her doctorate degree in neuroscience from Loyola University of Chicago in May 1998. Ray Steen and his wife, Gina ’92, have returned to Pennsylvania once again. Ray is a product line manager for Osram Sylvania. Melinda Shepard Scott and husband Greg celebrated their son Philip’s first birthday in June 1998. In September, there were many UVM alums at BJ Lambert and Kerry Stringer’s wedding at the Basin Harbor Club, including Karin Johannsen, Andy Nicholson, Jack Healy, Pete Casale, TJ Merala, Steele DuBrul, and Kevin Lambert. Greg works for Mass Mutual, doing financial planning and investments. Melinda is entering her fifth year as a budget examiner for the State of New York. Richard First reported, "I got married! Then Jenny and I honeymooned in Hawaii and learned to surf." Philip Sweet started Pinnacle Physical Therapy in Stowe, Vt., in September 1996. He is currently enrolled in the MSPT post-professional program at UVM and is secretary of the Vermont chapter of the APTA. Recently, he traveled to New Zealand for specialized skill training in manipulative physical therapy. Daniel Beaupre hiked the Long Trail, and is planning hikes in the Canadian Rockies and on Mount Rainier. He was scheduled to finish the EdM. program at Harvard University in Spring 1999. Elizabeth Price Swayze completed her MA. degree in literature and her PhD. course work at University of Maryland before making a career switch to academic/scholarly publishing. She is currently getting experience in editorial acquisitions at Princeton University Press. Carolyn Chaffee Howard wrote, "Chaffee ’90 and Bill ’88 have moved to Utah with ‘Baby George.’" Marie Kuhn Whybark attended the wedding of Jenn Ingersoll ’91 and Andy Wellman ’89 in Craftsbury, Vt. She is an adjunct professor at Madonna University and is president of the Ann Arbor Dietetic Association. Kathleen Rysanek Cline and her husband, Peter, welcomed their first child, Harrison Drew Cline, into their family in April 1998. Gretchen Henderson and her husband celebrated the birth of their first child, daughter Eleanor, on July 19, 1998. In October, they attended the wedding of fellow UVMer Vicki Pellegrini in Philadelphia. Mary Drayer Moran and Holly Batcheller were also there. Trish Huie wrote from Tampa, Fla., to let us know that Samantha Carleton is taking the second of three parts of the Certified Financial Planner exam. Sam lives in Boston and works for the Wellington Group. She also wrote that Carol Kallman Kane earned her Ph.D degree in economics from Boston College in 1998. She married Brian Kane ’88 on August 2, 1997, in Portsmouth, N.H. Brian received his MA degree in environmental engineering in 1997. They spent their honeymoon in Hawaii, then moved to Chicago. Jon Hill earned his MBA degree from Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester last June. He works for Coopers & Lybrand in New York City. Amy Chiriatti let us know that she is applying to the University of Wisconsin–Madison program in physical therapy. Tom Buchert wrote that he "is still living on Martha’s Vineyard. (Mike Ruris, Maurice Smith & Brian Sanderson —all 1990 Grads might want to know)" In July 1998, Sherri Simmons married Andy Ziomek. Tara Kelagahan ’89 Franzosa was a bridesmaid, and her son, Drew, was ringbearer. Sherri and Andy live in Brighton, Mass., and Sherri is currently teaching special ed at Waltham High School. Laura Starorypinski is building a new home. Susan Porter married Scott Cadwell on July 25, 1998. They live in Pardeeville, Wisc. Sue teaches at Portage High School. Rebecca Morse was reunited with her roommates from college at Susan Heiskell’s wedding in May. It was a beautiful event on Martha’s Vineyard. Karen Bubar visited with Happi Grillon while in Philadelphia in January. She misses Boston but enjoys her job and living in Philly. Mike Kirby reported that he and his wife, Sue, are keeping busy with a new baby, Adam, born in May 1998. Karen skied at Killington with Pam Hess, Bridgette Janes, and Liz Shepherd. All three are living in Massachusetts. Pam works for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Agency; Bridgette works for Delta Airlines; and Liz works for Chubb Insurance with fellow alum Daren Reyes Canfield. Daren and her husband, Dan ’89, recently spent three weeks vacationing in the Philippines with Daren’s family. Karen attended a baby shower for Kathy Killourie Hyatt. Kathy and her husband, Pete, have since celebrated the birth of baby Ronald on January 26, 1999. Dave Wheeler and his wife, Jen, live in Kentucky. They welcomed their first child, Nicholas, into their family in October 1998. Tim Matthews and his wife, Jen, love working in Portland, Maine. They recently purchased a home in North Yarmouth. Elisa Rinning Reeves lives with her husband, Michael, and son Matthew in Foxboro, Mass. Matthew was born on May 2, 1997. Elisa is a speech and language pathologist for Newton public schools. Justine Bloch has been staying at home with her daughter and enjoying motherhood. Bradford Chandler is happy to announce the birth of his son, Nicholas Bradford, on May 13, 1998. Rob Klein reported that he was planning to marry Sloan Andrea in March 1999 in Miami, Fla. Angela Scott reported that she is back as a full-time student, working on her PhD in counseling psychology at the University of Minnesota. Libby Valley Cirillo and husband Tony welcomed their son, Matthew, in June 1997. Julie Hovious Eneman and her husband were waiting to see where he would match for his residency. He was scheduled to graduate from UVM’s medical school in May 1999. Their most exciting news is the arrival of their daughter, Abigail Chatham Eneman, in July 1998. In the spring of 1998, college roommates Christine Bogdon von Roemer, Suzanne Kane, Christina Mainelli and Christine Tynan reunited to visit Carolyn Hovey Lewis in Virginia after the birth of her daughter, Genna, who arrived in February 1998. Suzanne Kane is working for a financial firm in Virginia. Christina Mainelli works for Arthur Andersen in Connecticut. Christine Tynan teaches in Massachusetts. Christine Bogdon von Roemer is vice president and co-founder of the Serengeti Foundation. They remembered their sixth roommate, Andrea Tofferi, who passed away in 1993. Katherine Cestar has a beautiful baby girl, Isabella Ruth, who was born on May 7, 1999. Gretchen Achenback married Kenn Barron in June 1998 in Waitsfield, Vt. Kenn and Gretchen both completed Ph.D.’s in psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and were looking for jobs. Paige Chamberlain deSantis and husband Mike happily announced the birth of their first child, Sydney Elizabeth, born May 17, 1999. Mark and Christine Reith McGowan celebrated the birth of their second child, Christopher Mark, on September 27, 1998. He joined their daughter, Madeline, who was almost two years old. Samantha Carelton is taking the second of three years of the Certified Financial Planner exam. She lives in Boston and works for the Wellington Group. Tobias Brown wrote, "Drs. Dharam Yadar, Margaret Edwards, and Herb Leff made UVM a very special place for me due to their outstanding skills in the education field. Thanks." Joel Norton teaches special education at Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park, Vt., where he is also the coach of the JV basketball team. He lives in Essex Junction with his wife, Bonnie. Stephanie Stewart Nashawaty reported that she has a fourteen-month-old daughter, Lauren. She is still working for Oracle Corporation. Amy Miller Lowell and Lee Lowell ’89 welcomed their first child, a daughter, Sydney Miller Lowell, on June 2, 1997, in New York City. In September 1998, the Lowells relocated to paradise on the island of Kauai, where Amy works as a certified nurse-midwife and Lee is a self-employed commodities trader. Kimberly Olney Young reported that she and her UVM classmate/best friend, Beth Taylor Noland, are both happily married and proud new moms. Brady Katzman-Rooks is back from her adventures in Asia. She was planning to graduate from the UVM community counseling graduate degree program in the summer of 1999 and then marry and move to Washington, D.C. Steve Sasse and Meme Yamashita Sasse ’91 had a baby boy at Georgetown University Hospital on February 11, 1998. His name is Noah Kondo Sasse. Richard Reif let us know that his wife, Karen, gave birth to their first son, William London Reif, on December 18, 1998, in Summit, N.J. Steve Lord and his wife had a baby and moved back to the United States after living in Germany for six years. Brian Burns ’89 and Jane Racoosin had their second child in June 1998. Big sister Suzanne, enjoys having Kyle crawl after her. The family lives in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. Signe Jensen, Boo Blynn Smith, Margo Deschenes Austin, Carolyn Chaffee Howard, and Besty O’Neill Cabrera got together for a mini-reunion weekend on Cape Cod last fall. Heather Pike Danziger reported that she, her husband, Glen, daughter Hanna enjoyed a white Christmas with family in Vermont. The Danzigers caught up with Sara Welch and Kimberly Doggett. Sara has found fame as a TV news anchor in the Albany area, while Kimberly teaches first grade in a school in the Boston area. Glen expected to complete his MBA at Emory University. Eliza Cain just returned to Vermont after nearly ten years in Oregon. Wendy Worth Scott and her husband are busy renovating their old house and raising two children. Laura Molony Chevalier, husband Tim, and son Ryan were awaiting the arrival of their second child in April. James Dillon was married in June 1997. Mo Williams Hart recently visited Kate Hanley-LaBrake and her husband, Brian, in Arlington, Va., to meet their new baby, Clara Joan. Mo and her husband, Joe, are co-owners of Kids Matter National Theater. Linda Potvin recently opened her own horse farm and has been training and competing throughout the Northeast. Rich (’89) and Linda Bretherton Hanzelko are excited about the opening of their specialty toy store, Timmy’s Toy Chest, in Lake Mary, Fla. Congratulations to Wally Kim and his wife Krista on the birth of their daughter, Kirsten, in December 1998. Mary McSweeney Stevens and her husband are expecting the birth of her second child in October. Amoree Ansalki Casey married Brian Casey on September 26, 1998 in Mystic, Conn. Leslie Gloria was maid of honor and Michele Rogers ’89 and Kim Yankowski (’89) Parker were bridesmaids. The Caseys live in Boulder, Colo. Heidi Adair and her husband, Tim ’89, welcomed their first child on December 6, 1998. They make their home in Easton, Conn. Jessica Levine and her husband, Kevin, have a new son, Andrew James Zych, born January 19, 1999. Janice Easton is editing cookbooks at Simon & Schuster in New York. Elizabeth Simmons married Thad Reed in September 1996. Coleen Jewett Heingartner was a bridesmaid. Amy McFeeters got married in Nashville, Tenn., in September 1998. Melissa Lawrence Reiner reported that she has been happily raising her daughter, Brooke, who turned three in April. Brooke attends preschool, and Melissa has been very involved in her school. Jeffrey Kremer recently moved from New York City to Bretland, Oreg. He recently celebrated his son, Reilly’s, first birthday. Rob Mocarsky has been teaching in elementary schools in Maine and New Hampshire. He currently lives on a small island off the coast of Maine. Julia Walker is engaged to marry Christopher Robinson on October 23, 1999. Jennifer Wade Bredin, her husband, and their son, Wade, were expecting the arrival of a new addition to their family in May. Their good friend, Ann Forrest Richardson, and her husband, Kevin, welcomed a new daughter, Susan Elizabeth, in January. Michele Tofel Murray and husband Joe have returned to Vermont. Michele is working on renovating their house in Northfield, and Joe is employed by the Vermont Department of Aging and Disabilities as a data analyst. David Schoenberger was married on February 27, 1999. Orlando Morshoudt introduced the couple and was the best man at the wedding. Leslie Caney and Mark Berni are planning an October wedding. Both live in Fairfield County, Conn., where they met in high school. Patricia Moon has been "studying how ‘multiple intelligences’ teaching methods can help community college students learn." Deanna Kiser is pursuing her PhD in archaeology and studying for her oral exams. She enjoys teaching classes in Egyptian art and archaeology. Jessica Alexander is moving back to Vermont and will be working in Fletcher Allen Health Care’s physical therapy department. Meg Laferriere worked on race administration for the World Alpine Ski Championships. Meg married in October 1997. Michele Leach reported from San Diego that she welcomed her third daughter, Lolly Stahel Rich, on January 24, 1999. Lisa Asaif, Sue Gelwick, Christine Dombrosky, Chris Whitney, Mike Curtin, Liz Blake, Court Blake, and Lisa all celebrated 30th birthdays together in Boston. Matthew Ross recently opened a NYC location of his store, SureFoot. Carrie LoVetere Stephany and husband Dave ’89 have been enjoying parenthood in Kalamazoo, Mich., since the birth of their son, Alexander Peter, in July 1997. Carrie is an environmental compliance specialist/hydrogeologist for a consulting firm, and Dave works for the Michigan K-Wings of the International Hockey League. Pamela Taylor-Paris wrote that she is "keeping up with 2 children who are growing fast, work schedules that are insane, and additions on the house, while enjoying the social and cultural aspects of the Boston area." David Friedman recently visited Ken Smith in Aspen and had the opportunity to "wet a line" and catch some fish in he Roaring Fork River. Deirdre Folsom is delighted that Salynn Trombley Hanlon makes regular trips to Sugarbush to join her for great runs and apres ski activities. Since 1992, Susan Messer has led wilderness expeditions for the National Outdoor Leadership School. She is currently back in school working toward a BS/RN in nursing and is scheduled to graduate in May 2000. Melissa Auerbach Cody announced that she and her husband, David, welcomed their first child, Harrison David, on December 14, 1998. Sharon Devarney Senesac is an elementary school principal at Sheldon Elementary School in Vermont. She recently was appointed to the board of trustees of The Family Center and March of Dimes.

Class of '91

Andrea Leone Centerrino and her husband, Steve, announced the birth of their first child, Nicholas John Centerrino, on April 15, 1999. Carolyn Wolfe wrote that she’s working at a non-profit agency for pregnant and parenting teens in New York City. She is heading back to school this fall to pursue a master’s degree in social work. Heather Matthews DiBenedetto and husband Dr. David DiBenedetto tied the knot at a small wedding in Vermont in November 1998. The DiBenedettos bought a historic brownstone in Charlestown, Mass. Jennifer Orrill DeLuca and husband Alex ’92 recently moved to upstate South Carolina, with their sons Adam and Joseph. Jennifer wrote, "I enjoy staying home with my two angels." Alex enjoys his work as a paramedic in Greenville County. Tim Cohen married Christina Dillon last March. They live in Boston, where Tim works at Fidelity Investments and Christina works at Biogen. Smith Forte married Christina Thomas In June.

Class of '92

Micheline Stephens is a practicing physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist in New Orleans, La. Meg Arthur wrote that she is the supply officer aboard the USS Ponce. She will be rotating back to the states soon. Meg lives in Norfolk, Va. Antoine Williams is an investment representative for Edward Jones .

Class of '93

John Clark began a PhD program at George Washington University, studying systematics. He let us know that he was planning to wed his high school sweetheart in October. Steven Whipple joined the Portland, Maine, office of Woodard & Curran as an air quality engineer.

Class of '94

We had a great time at our 5th reunion, but we missed all of you who weren’t able to be with us. After a close competition, we edged out the class of ’89 to win the milk can award. Special thanks to Craig and Andrea Cutbush Stewart and all the reunion committees who worked long and hard to make our reunion such a great success. New officers were elected for a five-year term: Narric Rome, president, Beth McDermott, vice president, and Denyce Wicht, secretary. Special thanks to all the outgoing officers who worked so hard during the past five years. Elizabeth Clark of Montvale, N.J. married Ralph Fariello, a 1994 graduate of Lehigh University, on June 6, 1998. The couple is happily living in Montville, N.J., with their cat, George. Liz attends graduate school at NYU, and Ralph, at Rutgers. James Donohue let us know that he and Amy Updegraff, Jon Mozenter, and Marie Schley had an informal reunion in Los Angeles. Linda Breuer Gray of Calais, Vt. was awarded a PhD in history from McGill University in Montreal. In 1996, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, and she is now a member of the faculty at Vermont College. Deborah Greenberg was married on March 14, 1998 in New Orleans, then moved to Ithaca, N.Y., to practice optometry. Jonathan Mozenter, has been in Los Angeles for more than three years.

Adam Cohen, Lisa Schulman Cohen, Andi Lemmon, and Alec Newcomb have agreed to co-chair our class reunion committee. I am still at Alliance Capital, working in product management as an associate product manager responsible for domestic equity products. Sherrett Walker has been teaching at Boston Latin School since September 1996. Angus Welchel will receive his MBA from the College of William and Mary in May 2000. Karin Ward is teaching first and second grade at Allen Brook School in Williston, Vt. David Zuckerman recently started his own organic farm, called Moon Farm, in the Intervale in Burlington, Vt. Elizabeth Chamberlain wrote in that she just bought her first house. Nicole Locke Carney has a daughter and is now working part-time as a medical technologist in microbiology at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt. Karen Ozarowski Culumovic and her husband, Patrick, had their first baby in April. Amy Withers was a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala from 1996-1999 along with Sarah Lansdale ’96. She is now applying to MPA programs. Christina Carrigan is in her fourth year of graduate school, funded by an American Heart Research Fellowship. She will receive her PhD in medicinal chemistry by the year 2000. Christina is engaged to be married. Anna Silbey is working as a client manager for a software development company. Demi Dufur is an eighth-grade math teacher. She married her husband, Colin, last August. Loretta Casey is a first-grade teacher. Hillary Hoffenberg married Adam Comora, a Cornell grad, in September. Alexander Wheeler has started his own construction and home/business maintenance company. Kristen Monaldo is working at Intel as a senior accountant and Oracle support analyst. Shannon Skillings Dwyer is a second-grade teacher. Debra Foster is an operating room nurse in surgical services at Northwestern Medical Center. Classmate Nicole Messier Laroche is a colleague in the OR. Samantha Smith is working for the Farm and Wilderness Foundation in Plymouth, Vt., along with Quita St. John; Justin Brown; Ryan Stanton; Megan Cadwallader, a UVM med student; and Colin Crawford. Melanie Fox is working on a professional accounting program at UVM and was married on August 14th to David McGregor. Julie Martin received her MS from UVM in October 1998 and joined BF Goodrich Aerospace early this year. Keith Kohler is a senior software quality assurance engineer in Manhattan. Susan Binns Mann married her husband, Stephen, last summer. Jennifer Cote married Jason Allen in September 1997. They had a baby girl, Madison Paige, last January. Lindsay Ronald and Gregg Hall are still living in San Francisco and frequently get together with Erika Nelson, Jill Rosenblum, Matt Seigal, John Benson and Will Tidman. Erika will graduate from law school in the fall, and Lindsay is working for Wine Spectator. Lisa Schulman married Adam Cohen in Boston in September 1998. Laura Megyesi is a veterinary technician. She and her husband just bought their first house in Underhill, Vt., and recently started a free-range egg business. Laura Aman and Jason Greene were married at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, Vt., in June 1998. Benjamin Newman wrote in that he still has a show on WRUV. It can be heard from on Friday nights on 90.1. Erik Maki is an engineer at GE Aircraft Engines. He is getting married in September and recently bought a house. Jesse Cormier played professional soccer from 1995-1998 with three English teams and two U.S. teams. He is a soccer graduate assistant in the School of Education at Bradley University, assisting head coach Jim DeRose, who was a UVM assistant coach while Jesse was playing. Kerry Heneghan Tharpe was in Andrew Decker’s wedding in June at the Ira Allen Chapel. Kristin Fontaine and Sarah Joughin recently returned from teaching English in South Korea. Mary Mochak is a full time student at George Washington University, earning a master’s degree in public health and health sciences. Leslie Haber is working at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Jodie Youngcourt Walsh has been working as a librarian for a management consulting firm in Boston since graduation. She has nearly completed her master’s degree in library and information science. Jodie and her husband, Michael, had their first baby in August 1998. Victoria "Tory" Dattilio married Jason Couture in September 1998. They own a house in Essex, Vt., and have a dog, Mak. Hilary Smith has been in Kazakhstan and recently moved to Lithuania. She wrote that Robin Watts and Dave Halloc were married in Vermont in May. John Russell is teaching geography, world history, environmental science, lacrosse, skiing and rock climbing at a boarding school. Ashley LaCroix-Dalrymple married husband Jason in October 1998 in Lake George, N.Y. Jason is a geologist for Jacobs Engineering in Falmouth, Mass. Michael Lantagne is living in a cabin near Fairbanks, Alaska. He teaches history and religion at a Catholic high school. Meika LeClair is a UVM graduate student in speech and language pathology. Mikelle Lipsius received her J.D. degree and certificate of environmental law from the Pace University School of Law. Carl Martin is living in Enfield, Conn., and working in Springfield, Mass., in marketing, business planning, sales promotion, and training. Seth Clifford recently took a position as a forester with Fountain Forestry. Seth and his wife, Christa, live in Huntington, Vt. Jennifer Jacobs is in her second semester of law school. Valerie Abrams is living in Manhattan and working in fashion. Lisa Rindler is also in Manhattan working at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Kimberly Larson is engaged to Scott Edwards ’94 and will be married in October on Cape Cod. Laura Bernadini is an assignment editor on the national desk at CNN in Atlanta. Mara Wilcox is also an assignment editor for CNN on the business desk out of New York. Christopher Nelson married Shannon Fitzgerald in August 1998. They bought a house in Mendham, N.J. Chris finished law school and works in Worldwide Regulatory Affairs for Philip Morris. Shannon is a kindergarten teacher. Alexandra Barton is in grad school, studying public policy at Georgetown University. Stephanie Valente is a physical therapist in Boston. She lives in the North End with fellow UVMer, Bill Kimes. They were married in June. Kevin Fair is engaged to marry Kimberly Burns of Gloucester, Mass. Capt. Justin Davis is in the U.S. Army, posted in Hawaii. Michael Sherriff is a full-time student in Heidelberg, Germany. Tania Towslee is a full-time teacher, while attending Old Dominion University part time for her master’s degree in secondary education and certification in special education. Shelly Demers and Greg Huse ’94 were married last June in Framingham, Mass. Shelley is an MBA student at Rutgers University, and Greg is a consulting forester in New Jersey. Phillip Bellizia is a geographic information systems analyst. Robyn Newton is in her fourth year of teaching phys ed at Vergennes Union Elementary School. She is also the assistant softball coach at UVM. Kevin Raymond and his wife, Amy, welcomed their first baby in July. Timothy Watson is a triathlete and the fastest person to swim across Lake Champlain in 1998. Catherine Muskus is back at UVM pursuing an MS in nursing, with a specialty in family nurse practitioner. Richard Bugbee is assistant baseball coach at UVM. He married Kelly Sheridan ’94 in July 1996. Craig Jones married Christina Spignese in September 1998. Lynn Lherault, Gina Vien, and Franca DiCrescenzo rented a house in Newport, R.I., for a mini-reunion with Scotty McDonald, Tom Quinn, Billy Lincoln, Jim Petterolli, and Michelle Anderson. Lee Freeman wrote, "During my graduate studies, I’ve learned that you’re supposed to revise your writing." Heidi Nelson Brouillette is piloting the new training software system for INS. Heidi and husband Bradley recently finished building a new house in Georgia, Vt.

First, I would like to correct a mistake in the spring issue. Carolyn Walsh is working at a professional staffing company, and Sarah Strife is working as a kindergarten co-teacher at the Greenwich Country Day School in Greenwich, Conn. She is coaching varsity soccer and lacrosse. Sarah is also working towards a master’s degree in teaching at Fordham. Sorry, Carolyn and Sarah. Ashley Kidder married Scott Campbell on June 12, 1999. Scott Shepard is currently living in Henderson, Nev., where he is an environmental analyst for Lockheed Martin Environmental Services. He married Jodee Erskine in June. Scott will be working towards an MBA degree at the University of Phoenix. Kristen Raftery is the guest services/in-house marketing manager for Stowe Mountain Resort. She recently married Jay Bowen in Stowe, Vt. Anu Ailawadhi works in resource development as a national event director for Literacy Volunteers of America. Joanna Petringa will participate in a three-day, 275-mile bike ride from Boston to New York to help fight AIDS.
