Thanks for all the information I have received. Please keep it coming because I enjoy the email. It only takes a minute to compose a message to the above email address, and I will get your update into the next issue. I recently caught up with our president Narric Rome when he stopped in Boston after the holidays on his way up to Killington, Vt. he went out with Beth McDermott, Erin Gurry, and me, and we realized that it was the first official meeting of the ’94 class officers. Narric, quite the dedicated Democrat, had just returned from Dubuque, Iowa, where he had hit the campaign trail, volunteering for 10 days with Al Gore’s campaign. Sara Golier and Doug Schneider are engaged; they plan to marry in the spring of 2001. They live in New York City with their dog, and they have just bought an apartment. Karri Rakow sent me a great email packed with information on ’94 grads: “Glad to see and read that everyone from our class is doing so very well. Currently, I am a first-year corporate lawyer at the New York City law firm of Davis, Polk & Wardwell, having recently graduated from NYU School of Law. New York City is a great place to be while young and starting a career, and my family is here, too, so I’m quite happy. I maintain contact with Nicole (Nikki) Gadbois Fulton. However, we all know she’s always been a superstar.” Jenny McCarthy O’Connor got married in August at Edson Hill Manor in Stowe, Vt. to “the most wonderful guy.” (She admitted to being slightly biased). Marilyn came all the way from Turkey to be there. Jenny teaches preschool in the Quincy Public Schools in a bilingual classroom, where half of her students speak Chinese. Hi, classmates. I hope you are finding 2000 to be a great year. It is so hard to believe that we are coming up on one year since our graduation. The year has flown by. I have some exciting news about some of our classmates. Jessica Potter entered the Pennsylvania College of Optometry last August. She is a first-year student in the college’s four-year Doctor of Optometry degree program. Best of luck, Jess! I also received some wonderful news about my dear friend, Mary Vadnais. I am so proud to announce that Mary has been accepted into UVM’s College of Medicine and will be attending in the fall. Mary is engaged to Jason Berger of Connecticut, and they will be getting married this summer. I wish Mary the best in all that she does. I am happy to see her return to UVM. I hope all of you are doing well, and I would really love to hear from you. Fill me in on what is going on in your life. Our class column is a great way for us to keep in touch with each other. Just because our undergraduate days are over, it doesn’t mean that our contact with each other can’t continue. Best of luck to you all, and please keep me posted.
