Objectives
Monitoring the long-term effects of climate change on macroinvertebrate communities in pristine reference streams. Biological condition will be assessed using macroinvertebrate density to measure community productivity; total species richness to indicate overall stream biodiversity; and EPT richness to measure diversity in species sensitive to water quality stressors. Stream gage data will be used to monitor organism abundance as affected by stream flow.
