Can I receive financial assistance?
Vermont Student Assistance Center (VSAC) Non-Degree Grants
Any Vermonter enrolled in a non-degree course that will improve employability or encourage further study is eligible to apply for a Vermont Non-Degree Grant. These awards ranged up to $715 during the 2003 - 2004 academic year. Applications are available at Vermont Department of Employment and Training offices, vocational centers, other schools, and VSAC. When should I register?
Due to anticipated demand, registrations received less than one week prior to the program start date cannot be guaranteed. Register at least two weeks in advance of the seminar start-date to assure confirmation.
What is included in the fee for each seminar?
The total fee for each course includes all materials such as case studies, workbooks, etc. For all day sessions, participants will break for an hour lunch, which will be provided. Continental breakfast is also included. Parking passes will be provided to you on arrival at the VBC Seminars.
How many participants are allowed per seminar?
Enrollment is limited to 25 in each course in order to ensure a quality learning experience for each participant.
What is the cancellation policy?
A full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee, will be made only if a written notice is received at least 14 days prior to the start date of the program. Requests made less than 14 days before the start date will not be honored.
A request to apply a VBC program payment to another VBC program occurring on a different date will be made with a $50 processing fee, on a space availability basis, and only if a written notice is received at least 14 days prior to the start date of the VBC program for which you are currently registered. VBC program change requests that occur less than 14 days prior to the start of your currently registered program will not be honored.
If you cannot attend the VBC program for which you are registered and would like to send a substitute from your organization, VBC can substitute your registration at no additional charge.
What happens if seminar gets cancelled?
We reserve the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment or to circumstances beyond our control (instructor illness, weather, etc.). Should this become necessary, every effort will be made to notify each participant as expeditiously as possible. If a program is cancelled, UVM’s liability is limited to the refund of the program fee only.
