This is the 10th year of our half-day conference!

The conference pulls together dynamic experts, academic researchers, students, entrepreneurs and business leaders from across Vermont and New England to talk about how to protect, develop and finance your ideas. They share resources, what's worked for them... and what can work for you.

The conference features twelve roundtable discussion topics designed to increase networking and discussion. Attendees can choose three topics when registering.

Dr. Linda Rhodes, "A Tale of Two Companies: Expanding the Opportunities for Biotechnology"

Dr. Linda RhodesDr. Linda Rhodes, VMD, PhD has been the Chief Scientific Officer of Aratana Therapeutics, Inc., since September 6, 2012. Dr. Rhodes served as the Chief Executive Officer at Aratana Therapeutics from February 2011 to September 12, 2012. She founded AlcheraBio LLC in 2001 and served as its Managing member and Vice President of Clinical Development. She was responsible for activities related to conduct of GCP trials, as well as business and strategic development.

She has 25 years of experience in human and animal drug discovery and development, physiology, molecular biology, and clinical veterinary medicine. From 1998 to 2001, Dr. Rhodes served as Director of Development Projects and New Technology Assessment at Merial Ltd. She held various research positions at Merck Research Laboratories and Sterling Drug Company. She worked for major pharmaceutical companies, including 10 years at Merck and Merial. Dr. Rhodes received a VMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, a Bachelor of Arts from Sarah Lawrence College and completed a PhD in Physiology and Immunology at Cornell University.


When you register, you have the option of choosing three of the topics below. Each roundtable discussion is 30 minutes, with a 15-minute buffer for finishing conversations and networking between sessions.
