Elected to the Board by the self-perpetuating board, to fill an unexpired term, in October 2011. Re-elected for a 6-year term in 2012. Term expires in March 2018. Born in Middlebury, Vermont. Educated at UVM, BA, Political Science, 1977; and MPA, Public Administration and Public Policy, 1991. President of the Vermont Business Roundtable, 2002 - present. Previous President of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association (1997-2002), and Director of Government Affairs for the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce (LCRCC, 1993-1997). Currently serves on the boards of Greater Burlington YMCA, Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation, Maine Mutual Group, and Vermont Center for Emerging Technology. Former services include Board Member of Champlain College, Board Chair of Mercy Connections, Board President at United Way of Chittenden County, Board Chair at the Lund Family Center, and Chair of People’s United Bank (formerly Chittenden Bank). Recipient of the 2012 MS Hope Award presented by National Multiple Sclerosis Society/Greater New England Chapter, 2011 Youth Development Award presented by Greater Burlington YMCA, 2010 Achieve Award presented by KeyBank, 2007 Marshall E. Dimock Alumni Award, 2002 Community Excellence Award, and 1991 UVM Public Service Award. Member, Pi Alpha Pi Honor Society, UVM. Married to Dr. Curtis Ventriss; three sons, Finn Davis, Ian Davis (UVM, 2010), and Alex Ventriss.
