Christopher A.
Elected to the Board by the Vermont State Legislature in 2009.
Term expires in 2015. Born in New Britain, Connecticut. Educated at UVM,
BA, Zoology, 1977; MA, English, 1991. Also graduated from UVM's Snelling Center for Government, 2006.
Former member of the Vermont House of Representatives, 2007- 2011. Formerly taught at UVM for four years in
the English Department and founded Common Grounds Communications, which provides production services to a variety of clients and publishing houses. Bray lives on an 82-acre working farm in New Haven, VT. Bray is also the founder of Fair Trade Vermont. Current and former
service includes: the House Agricultural Committee (clerk); Vermont Milk Commission (secretary);
Rural Economic Development Working Group (chair); Vermont Biomass Energy Development Working Group (co-chair); Vermont Forestry Commission; Economic Development
Committee of the Governor's Dairy Task Force; Justice of the Peace; the Middlebury Area Land Trust
(past President); EMT with Charlotte Fire & Rescue; School Board Technology Committee; baseball and
soccer coach and referee; and a variety of other school-related volunteer activities.
