The “Cycling Through the News” Exhibit is Now Open

With help from Professor Luis Vivanco and Jeffrey Marshall, we at the Transportation Research Center have transported the “Cycling Through the News” exhibit from the Bailey-Howe Library to our office at Farrell Hall. This collection features articles and advertisements from historical newspapers reproduced on poster boards with extra information! Throughout the exhibit, you will see four groups based around one or two themes. These include “The Rise of the Bicycle,” “Sights and Sports,” “New Roads for Cyclists and Women,” and “Safety in Style: Accessories and Health.” Special thanks to Glenn Eames and the Old Spokes Home, Luis Vivanco, Jeffrey Marshall, the TRC Staff, and the Vermont Digital Newspaper for their contribution, images, and support!

Stop by our office at 210 Colchester Avenue, Burlington, VT to see more!
