Peggy A. O’Neill-Vivanco is Workforce Outreach Coordinator for the Northeast Transportation Workforce Center (NETWC) at the University of Vermont Transportation Research Center (TRC). She coordinates with the 4 other regional centers that make up the National Network for the Transportation Workforce (NNTW) to implement the FHWA strategic initiative on critical career pathways for transportation professionals. The NETWC team also develops partnerships and advances programs to inform Career Pathway Demonstrations at CTE, STEM and post-secondary institutions throughout the northeast region.
She joins the TRC after over 20 years in higher education, study abroad, and campus internationalization. She brings expertise in program management, strategic planning, training, supporting peer-based professional development and mentoring, as well as researching, developing and implementing administrative systems, policies and procedures. One of her specialties is working with culturally-diverse groups and stakeholders to develop inclusive policies and high-impact programming and curricula.
Peggy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Ithaca College, and a Master of Arts in Latin American Studies from New York University.
