Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

On May 4, 2016, Burlington Electric Department and UVM unveiled the installation of four Electric Vehicle charging stations on Campus. Stay tuned for more locations to come!

EV Charging Station Locations

  • Two Level 2 stations at Aiken Building, 81 Carrigan Drive at the loading dock adjacent to Davis Center Oval.
  • Two Level 2 stations behind Johnson House at 601 Main Street.
  • Two Level 2 stations on upper Trinity Campus at Mann Hall at 208 Colchester Avenue.
  • Two Level 2 stations on the east side of Morrill Hall at 146 University Place.
  • Two Level 1 stations at the middle of the Gutterson Garage at 95 Spear Street.(UVM Parking Permit ONLY)

About the charging stations

  • Level 1: Slow-charging; expectation the vehicle will be there most of the day
  • Level 2: Quick-charging: allowing more turnover; expectation the vehicle will be filled within 4 hours and must be removed from space when charge is complete.
  • Electricity is not free, service provided by Burlington Electric Department.
  • must be subscribed to use ChargePoint
  • Must be subscriber of Parkmobile to pay for space.
  • Unless a valid UVM parking permit is displayed, no matter the assignment as it should be moved back to their regular spaces after filled (i.e. a zone brown behind Gund Institute - OK as long as charging)

Spaces are reserved for electric vehicles only while actively charging, at all times. No parking payment is required after restricted hours as posted.
