Vermont e-Learning Project
The Vermont E-Learning Project, a collaborative initiative of the Vermont Principals Association (VPA), VITA-Learn and the Tarrant Institute for Innovative Education, was awarded $200,000 in Title IID Competitive funds by the Vermont Department of Education to enhance student-centered, technology-rich learning in one Vermont school in each VITA-Learn educational region. The six schools were selected because they already had robust technology available to students (i.e., students in a particular classroom, grade or school have extensive, individualized access), but lacked educator training and onsite coaching to fully integrate technology into the curriculum. TIIE offered a three-day professional development institute to teams from each school and currently coordinates ongoing, on-site coaching and workshops throughout the school year. The following school are participating in the grant. In addition to advancing their own technology integration efforts, the sites will serve as regional models and resources to other area schools.
- Barnet School
- Riverside Career and Technical Center
- Manchester Elementary/Middle School
- Enosburg Middle School
- Woodstock Middle School
- Peoples Academy
