Education Concentration in Theatre

The State of Vermont requires that students majoring in Education have a minimum of thirty (30) credits in one discipline. These thirty (30) credits are referred to as your "concentration".

The following is the general requirements for students with a major in Education, Concentrating in Theatre:

THE 010: Acting I: Introduction to Acting 3 credits
THE 020: Fundamentals of Lighting includes Lab 4 credits
THE 030: Fundamentals of Scenery includes Lab 4 credits
THE 040: Fundamentals of Costuming includes Lab 4 credits
THE 050: Dramatic Analysis 3 credits
THE 150: Theatre History I: Classical, Medieval, & Renaissance Theatre 3 credits
Choose one of the following
THE 110: Acting II: Contemporary Scene Study 3 credits
THE 120: Lighting Design 3 credits
THE 130: Scene Design 3 credits
THE 140: Costume Design 3 credits
Two Theatre 3-Credit Courses of Your Choice 3 credits
