Summer is lurking right around the corner and all that stands between UVM students and their freedom is finishing up finals and moving out of their dorms or off-campus apartments.
In the past, move out day has been a total disaster.
Last week, UVM's Eco-Reps organized a tabling event in the Davis Center to kick start the Follow the Leaf campaign. Influenced by the Rainforest Alliances' Follow the Frog campaign, the Eco-Reps worked with two students, Matt Lipke (director) and Sam Lucci (actor), to produce a short video to promote the Eco-Options label.
As reported by senior Eco-Reps, Teresa DiTore:
Thank you for your interest in applying to be an Eco-Rep for the 2013-14 school year.
The semester had just begun when I traveled to Toronto for a 2-day workshop focused on fostering sustainable behavior. I learned the nuts and bolts of a compelling approach called Community Based Social Marketing (CBSM) that is being used all over the world to shift communities toward more environmentally responsible behaviors.
