Presenting on Project Management Strategies

by Mieko A. Ozeki, M.S., A.L.M, Sustainability Projects Coordinator

Today, I had the opportunity to present webinar on Project Management Strategies. The webinar was hosted by the Environmental Leadership Program, where I recently completed a fellowship as part of their New England Regional Network. I was surprised by the number of attendees interested in project management as I discussed how our Office manages projects, programs, and portfolios. There were 125+ attendees out of 187 registrants watching the live version of this presentation.

Frankly, I was quite nervous presenting but confident about this topic area. I have several years of experience developing project management systems and it was great to share my experience with colleagues in a variety of environmental fields. This presentation was an expanded version of the presentation I gave at the AASHE 2011 Conference. I added new material after completing a Project Management Overview course through UVM's Center for Leadership & Innovation last week.

Drafting

Leading up to this webinar presentation, I used post-it notes to help me organize my slides. This was a technique I saw in Presentation Zen

I created a resource page with a video of my presentation along with a list project management information:
