2012-2013 Meetings

During the 2012-2013 academic year, implementation and closure on previous projects were underway. Results from the Comprehensive Campus Renewable Energy Feasibility Study were presented, showing opportunities on campus for future installations. A Call for Ideas went out to the UVM community, where participants had the opportunity to post, comment, and vote on project ideas via a custom module hosted on the Office of Sustainability website. Thirty-eight project ideas were submitted,six project proposers presented their ideas to the committee, and in the spring two projects were awarded funding in addition to a lecture series, Energy Action Seminar.

2011-2012 Meetings

During the 2011-2012 academic year, implementation and closure on previous projects were underway. A Call for Ideas went out to the UVM community, where participants had the opportunity to post, comment, and vote on project ideas via a custom module hosted on the Office of Sustainability website. Twenty-five project ideas were submitted, a few project proposers presented their ideas to the committee, and in the spring four projects were awarded funding in addition to two lecture series ("Vermont's Energy Future" Lecture Series Keynote Speaker, James Howard Kunstler and Climate Change Mitigation & Adaption Lecture Series). 

2010-2011 Meetings

During the 2010-2011 academic year, implementation of the first set of projects was underway and a CEF Education & Outreach Fellow was hired. A Call for Ideas went out to the UVM community, where participants had the opportunity to post, comment, and vote on project ideas via a third-party service that used a collective intelligence model. Sixty-three ideas were collected and reviewed. Five project ideas were awarded funding and monies were set aside for an internship program and lecture/workshop series grant program.

2009-2010 Meetings

During the 2009-2010 academic year, the first Call for Proposals went out to the UVM community. Nineteen proposals were received and eight projects were awarded funding in addition to money set aside for a CEF implementation and education program.

2008-2009 Meetings

During the 2008-2009 academic year, the CEF and committee were newly formed. The first commitee meeting was on December 1, 2008 and the intent was to develop guidelines for the fund and the committee. Committee by-laws were approved by the end of the year.
