About Us
Surplus
Property is a function of the UVM Recycling & Waste
Management program. Our mission is to keep items out of the landfill
through the sale of
surplus furniture and other materials which are no longer useful to
University departments. Items from University
departments are stored at the Wheelock
Barn in South Burlington prior to sale.

UVM
Departments: How to Request a Surplus Pickup -
Submit a Service Request on-line to
have surplus items (e.g. furniture, computers, junk) picked up from
your department or
building.
Please do this by submitting
a
"Service Request" at the Physical Plant's FAMIS SELF SERVE
website. Go to Submit
a Service Request
for more information. When
we receive your request,
the UVM Surplus/Recycling team will
pick up your items and determine
whether they are usable for resale, or
whether recycling or disposal is required. Departments are charged a
nominal
hauling fee for pick up and/or disposal of old surplus items.
UVM
