Housing Accommodations for Students
During June Orientation, students reside in Harris/Millis residential complex on Athletic Campus. Student will share a room with another student from the same academic unit. This will allow students to experience living in the residence halls and meet other students in similar majors.
Sheets, blankets, and other linens will be provided. Accommodations, meals, and all program materials are covered by the acceptance fee you've already forwarded to the Admissions Office.

When driving from the north or south on Interstate 89, take exit 14W. Proceed 1/2 mile west to the UVM campus. Take the first right after the entrance to the Sheraton Hotel and then veer immediately left toward Spear Street. The Harris/Millis Residential Complex is one block south on Spear Street (exit from right lane).
When driving from the south on U.S. Route 7, enter Burlington on Route 7. Turn right onto Route 2 (Main Street). Proceed on Main Street through four stoplights. At the fifth stoplight (the intersection of Main Street and Spear Street/East Avenue), turn right onto Spear Street. Take the first right into the Harris/Millis Residential Complex.

Parking for Orientation
Parking is provided free of charge in front of the Harris/Millis residence hall and in the adjacent Gutterson garage.

We accommodate all gender identity expressions. Please feel free to let us know what room assignment makes you feel most comfortable.
Housing Accommodations for Families (On-Campus)
Parents and families attending Family Orientation who wish to stay on-campus will be housed in the University Heights North Residential Complex, adjacent to Harris/Millis. Accommodations include air-conditioned suite-style housing with semi-private baths.
**Please note that the residence hall rooms do not have televisions, and wireless internet access is limited. Pets are not allowed in the residence halls or campus facilities.
Children under 10 accompanying their parents or guardians are exempt from the registration fee and are able to stay for free in their parents; room, provided they bring a sleeping bag. A meal package for children under 10 is also available.

Taxis are readily available. The fare from the airport to UVM is approximately $15. Tell the taxi driver that you would like to go to the Harris/Millis Residential Complex on the UVM Athletic Campus.
Bus Lines
Connections to the Vermont Transit depot on Pine Street in Burlington, located one mile southwest of campus) are available from all major US cities, including New York City, Boston, Albany, and Montreal, Canada. Departures to these cities are available on an average of twice daily. Special student rates are available.

Train Travel
The Essex Junction train station, approximately 8 miles from campus, is served by Amtrak, which connects major cities across the U.S. For schedule and reservation information, please see the Amtrak website or call 1-800-872-7245.
Public Transportation (City Bus)
Public bus transportation from the airport (Route 1: Airport) and the Vermont Transit depot (Route 5: Pine Street to Route 1: University Mall/Airport) to the University of Vermont is available.
