We are excited to announce an anticipated professional opportunity in Burlington, VT at the University of Vermont's Dudley H. Davis Center as the Coordinator for Campus Programs (HR position title - Student Services Professional) for the Department of Student Life.
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Campus Programs, this position is a campus programming generalist in the Department of Student Life and is a vital member of the Campus Programs team. They are responsible for developing, promoting and implementing a wide variety of social, educational and entertainment programs. This individual is a primary advisor to the UVM Program Board and oversees the planning and execution of their events, as well as the selection and training of their membership. Additionally, this individual supports campus-wide programming efforts that meet the university's diversity and environmental stewardship program needs.
Experience with event or program planning and implementation, familiarity with college environment and the schedule/ needs of college students, comfortable working independently and working with the public, ability to work nights and weekends, and basic computer skills are necessary. Comfort with and demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, environmental stewardship, and fostering a collaborative, multicultural environment required.
This position requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion and environmental stewardship. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Ability to be on-call and work long hours including early mornings, evenings, nights and weekends is required.
