At UVM, we're balanced in mind, body and spirit because UVM students seek out opportunities for work, service and play. Our campus hums with activity, and chances to get involved are right outside your door.
1) Get out. The UVM Outing Club rents (note: cheap!) equipment that will inspire you to see more of Vermont. Snowshoes, skis (telemark anyone?), canoes, camping equipment and more. When in doubt: attend an organized outing.
2) Salsa dance, write for the paper, work with the HIV/AIDS taskforce. These are just some of the hundreds of opportunities through the Department of Student Life and its Student Government Association.
3) Stroll through the Fleming Museum. More than 20,000 objects including art and anthropological finds, permanent galleries and changing exhibitions.
4) Eat sushi on the green roof of the Davis Center. Catch some comedy in the pub, do your banking, drink coffee by the fireplace. UVM's new environmentally sound student center is the campus living room.
5) Visit the UVM Morgan Horse Farm. The UVM "government" line of Morgan Horse is considered one of the best in the world. Take a tour!
"I was away from UVM for a semester and realized how incredibly unique the people on our campus are. Everywhere you go someone's holding the door open, smiling, giving out hugs, the list goes on." — Julia, undergraduate student
