Incident at Oglala (1992)

A documentary researching the events leading to the imprisonment of Leonard Peltier--an Anishinabe-Lakota Indian and American Indian Movement (AIM) organizer. Peltier is an internationally recognized political prisoner. He is serving time for the deaths of two FBI agents, an atrocity he says he did not commit, and the U.S. Government doesn't know who did.

Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota, FBI agents arrive, and a shootout with the indians ensues. Two FBI agents are killed, and a few men are brought up on charges, but only one goes to prison . . . Leonard Peltier, a key activist of the American Indian Movement (AIM) organization.

The following is a documentary concerning the said events, and questioning the reality the FBI and its corrupt counter-part, the courts, have handed to the masses.

Director: Michael Apted
