Sponsored Project Administration - SPA
Principal Investigator Certification
The below certification is legally required for EVERY proposal submitted. SPA cannot provide the final UVM Authorized Institiutional Signature until the Principal Investigator provides this certification. The certification is usually* provided electronically within the InfoEd electronic routing process.
When the Principal Investigator kicks off the route for internal approvals, the InfoEd system automatically prompts the Principal Investigator for the Principal Investigator Certification. The Principal Investigator provides certification using their UVM Net ID and password.
*If there are extenuating circumstances that make it impossible for the Principal Investigator to start the route InfoEd and thereby providing the required electronic Principal Investigator certification, contact your SPA Research Administrator as soon as possible to make an alternative arrangement for certification.
