Gerontology Minor in Sociology
Requirements
The Department of Sociology offers a minor in Gerontology which consists of 18 credits.
Required courses (12 credits): SOC 020 (or HDFS 020 or NURS 020); SOC 120; SOC 220; SOC 222.
Electives (6 credits): ANTH 189; HDFS 266; NURS 100 or HDFS 152; SOC 154; SOC 254.
Sociology courses that are used for this minor are included in the 45 hour major rule.
Gerontology Minor may not be sole minor for Sociology Majors.
Students interested in completing the Gerontology Minor are encouraged to consult their faculty advisor early in their program.
