The Doctor's Story

Took a side trip to visit the base lodge of Saddleback in Maine (need to go back and ski there - looks like Mad River).

Also took a side trip through the Dixville Notch and was blown away by The Balsams. For $300.00 (double occupancy) you get a standard room, breakfast and dinner, lift tickets to a private (I think) downhill area, cross-country trails. The ambience of Victorian England and old world charm. Men are requested to wear a tie and coat after 6 pm, staff outnumbers guests.

Ahh, the style to which I aspire!!
